Sarasota is one of Florida’s most refined cultural cities — a Gulf Coast town with the arts pedigree of a major metro and the intimacy of a coastal village. From oceanfront ceremonies at Longboat Key to gallery weddings at The Ringling to botanical garden receptions at Marie Selby, Sarasota weddings carry a distinctive elegance. Cala Strings brings world-class string music to Sarasota, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and the surrounding Gulf communities.

Sarasota Weddings

Sarasota’s wedding venues span from the storied — The Ringling’s Cà d’Zan and the Powel Crosley Estate — to the natural drama of Siesta Key and Longboat Key beaches. Our string ensembles perform across the full range: intimate beachfront ceremonies, courtyard cocktail hours at Selby Gardens, and ballroom receptions at the Hyatt Regency and The Westin downtown. We tailor ensemble size and repertoire to each space and event.

Siesta Key, Longboat Key & the Gulf Coast

The barrier islands surrounding Sarasota host some of Florida’s most photographed destination weddings. Siesta Key’s quartz-white sand and the private resort feel of Longboat Key Club draw couples from across the country. We handle travel logistics so the focus stays on the celebration.

Sarasota’s Arts-Forward Standard

Sarasota’s cultural infrastructure — the Sarasota Orchestra, the Asolo Repertory Theatre, the Sarasota Opera, and The Ringling Museum — sets a sophisticated standard for live entertainment. Hosts here expect musicians who can deliver concert-level performance, not background filler. Our network is built precisely for that standard: touring-caliber players with classical training and the versatility to move between Bach and modern pop arrangements without losing finesse.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there travel fees for events outside Miami?
We serve all of South Florida. Events within Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are included in our standard pricing. Events in Naples, Orlando, the Florida Keys, or other locations may include a travel fee. We'll provide a complete quote including any travel costs upfront — no surprises.
Do you perform at outdoor events?
Yes, we regularly perform outdoors at gardens, beaches, estates, and waterfront venues throughout South Florida. For outdoor events, we recommend having a shaded area or backup indoor space in case of inclement weather, as instruments are sensitive to direct sun and rain.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3-6 months in advance for weddings, especially during peak season (October through May in South Florida). Corporate events and private parties can often be accommodated with 2-4 weeks notice, depending on availability. Popular dates book quickly, so earlier is always better.
