Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a string quartet cost for a wedding?
A string quartet for a wedding in South Florida typically ranges from $4,000+ for a standard 2-3 hour performance. Luxury weddings with extended hours, custom arrangements, or premium venues may be higher. We provide detailed quotes based on your event specifics.
How much does live music for cocktail hour cost?
Cocktail hour music typically runs 45-60 minutes. A string duo starts around $2,000, a trio around $3,000, and a full quartet around $4,000 for cocktail hour. Many couples bundle cocktail hour with ceremony music for a package rate.
How do I choose the right ensemble size?
The right ensemble depends on your venue size, guest count, and budget. As a general guide: Solo violin for intimate ceremonies (under 50 guests), string duo for small-medium events (50-100), string trio for medium events (100-150), and string quartet for large celebrations (150+) or outdoor venues. We're happy to recommend the best option for your specific event.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3-6 months in advance for weddings, especially during peak season (October through May in South Florida). Corporate events and private parties can often be accommodated with 2-4 weeks notice, depending on availability. Popular dates book quickly, so earlier is always better.
Are there travel fees for events outside Miami?
We serve all of South Florida. Events within Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are included in our standard pricing. Events in Naples, Orlando, the Florida Keys, or other locations may include a travel fee. We'll provide a complete quote including any travel costs upfront — no surprises.
Can you play specific songs or take requests?
Absolutely. We have a repertoire of over 300 songs spanning classical, pop, rock, R&B, Latin, jazz, and film scores. If your requested song isn't already in our repertoire, we can create a custom arrangement for an additional fee. We encourage couples to share their must-play and do-not-play lists during the planning process.
Do you perform at outdoor events?
Yes, we regularly perform outdoors at gardens, beaches, estates, and waterfront venues throughout South Florida. For outdoor events, we recommend having a shaded area or backup indoor space in case of inclement weather, as instruments are sensitive to direct sun and rain.
