A Florida Keys wedding is a destination event — and the music should be just as special as the setting. Ocean-side ceremonies, sunset cocktail hours, and celebrations under the stars deserve live string music that captures the romance of the Keys. Cala Strings travels to Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West to provide world-class string performances for your destination wedding.

Destination Wedding Music

A Keys wedding is already unforgettable — live strings make it extraordinary. Our musicians travel to any Keys location, bringing all necessary equipment and handling every logistic. From a beachside duo for an intimate elopement to a full quartet for a resort celebration, we deliver the same world-class performance in the Keys that we bring to our South Florida events.

Key West, Islamorada & Beyond

Each section of the Florida Keys has its own character. Key Largo and Islamorada are popular for resort weddings and intimate waterfront ceremonies; Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key is a longtime destination wedding venue with a devoted following. Marathon’s relaxed atmosphere suits smaller destination celebrations. Key West combines Caribbean bohemian charm with an active luxury hospitality scene — the Casa Marina, the Reach, and the Hyatt Centric bring in couples from across the country for destination weddings.

We recommend a duo or trio for most Keys events: the intimate scale of Keys venues generally suits smaller ensembles, the acoustics reward warmth over volume, and the travel logistics for two or three musicians are simpler. That said, we bring full quartets when the venue and guest count call for it. Whatever your Keys event requires, we handle the planning details — you focus on the view.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there travel fees for events outside Miami?
We serve all of South Florida. Events within Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are included in our standard pricing. Events in Naples, Orlando, the Florida Keys, or other locations may include a travel fee. We'll provide a complete quote including any travel costs upfront — no surprises.
Do you perform at outdoor events?
Yes, we regularly perform outdoors at gardens, beaches, estates, and waterfront venues throughout South Florida. For outdoor events, we recommend having a shaded area or backup indoor space in case of inclement weather, as instruments are sensitive to direct sun and rain.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3-6 months in advance for weddings, especially during peak season (October through May in South Florida). Corporate events and private parties can often be accommodated with 2-4 weeks notice, depending on availability. Popular dates book quickly, so earlier is always better.
