Miami is a city that demands the extraordinary. From waterfront ceremonies at Vizcaya to glamorous receptions at the Faena, every Miami event carries an expectation of excellence. Cala Strings meets that expectation with South Florida’s finest string ensemble — musicians who have performed with John Legend, on Saturday Night Live, and at Madison Square Garden. We bring concert-level artistry to Miami’s most prestigious venues and private events.

Miami Weddings

Miami’s wedding scene is as diverse as the city itself. Garden ceremonies at Vizcaya, beachfront celebrations in Miami Beach, rooftop receptions in Brickell, intimate gatherings in Coral Gables — each setting calls for music that matches its unique character. Our ensembles have performed at Miami’s most sought-after wedding venues, and we bring deep knowledge of each space’s acoustics, logistics, and ambiance.

Corporate Events & Galas

Miami’s thriving business community hosts world-class corporate events year-round. From Art Basel galas to Fortune 500 conferences, from hotel lobby performances to yacht-based client entertainment, our musicians provide the sophisticated soundtrack that Miami’s corporate scene demands. We regularly perform at events in Brickell, Downtown, the Design District, and Miami Beach.

Miami Beach & Island Events

Miami Beach, Star Island, Fisher Island, Key Biscayne — South Florida’s most exclusive addresses are also our most requested performance locations. Our musicians are experienced with the unique logistics of island and waterfront events, including yacht performances, beachside ceremonies, and private estate celebrations.

Miami’s Neighborhoods & Music Culture

Miami is one of the most musically rich cities in the Western Hemisphere, with Latin, Caribbean, and classical traditions layered on top of each other. That cultural depth informs how we build programs for Miami events — a Brickell corporate gala may call for modern classical arrangements, while a Coral Gables wedding often blends traditional ceremony standards with Latin-inflected cocktail hour selections. We know the difference, and we tailor every performance accordingly.

From the Mediterranean architecture of Coral Gables to the Art Deco glamour of South Beach, from the waterfront towers of Edgewater to the private estates of Pinecrest and Coconut Grove, our musicians travel to every Miami neighborhood and bring the same level of artistry to each.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there travel fees for events outside Miami?
We serve all of South Florida. Events within Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties are included in our standard pricing. Events in Naples, Orlando, the Florida Keys, or other locations may include a travel fee. We'll provide a complete quote including any travel costs upfront — no surprises.
Do you perform at outdoor events?
Yes, we regularly perform outdoors at gardens, beaches, estates, and waterfront venues throughout South Florida. For outdoor events, we recommend having a shaded area or backup indoor space in case of inclement weather, as instruments are sensitive to direct sun and rain.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 3-6 months in advance for weddings, especially during peak season (October through May in South Florida). Corporate events and private parties can often be accommodated with 2-4 weeks notice, depending on availability. Popular dates book quickly, so earlier is always better.
How do I choose the right ensemble size?
The right ensemble depends on your venue size, guest count, and budget. As a general guide: Solo violin for intimate ceremonies (under 50 guests), string duo for small-medium events (50-100), string trio for medium events (100-150), and string quartet for large celebrations (150+) or outdoor venues. We're happy to recommend the best option for your specific event.
